The Adventurer has set new standards in liveaboard diving in the Philippines, and as many of our guests say, in Asia. Adventurer is the perfect place from which to explore some of the best diving in the world – we offer three distinct itineraries showcasing parts of the Philippines on schedules only possible by liveaboard.
The majority of trips embark from either one of our world class dedicated dive resorts, which are acknowledged to be among the best in South East Asia. What stays the same are the feature comforts, great food and welcoming crew.
Adventurer has seven deluxe staterooms, 6 of which with double and single bunk-style berths and one (cabin 7) with one double berth. All cabins feature ensuite lavatory, private head and shower, hairdryer and shower gel. All situated below deck. Our Owner’s suite is located on the upper deck with double and single bunk-style berths. The suite is larger and has a desk, large picture windows and extensive storage space.
Atlantis Restaurant, located in Atlantis Puerto Galera & Dumaguete have long been described as “world class” and the “best food we have ever had on a dive vacation”; it’s no different on Adventurer. We proudly adhere to our principle of only serving freshly prepared meals and snacks. Our snack and drink bar is open all day – featuring a Keurig cup brewing center with multiple choices. All drinks on board including social servings of beer, wine and local rum are complimentary. You may also bring your own beverages with no corkage fee.
Enjoy a wide selection of movies on our flat screen TV or sit back with a book or magazine from our library; an assortment of board games and cards is also available. Each evening you will be treated to either one of Atlantis’ unique marine life presentations, a picture slide show, or a presentation on your next destination. Besides diving, you can improve your photography skills, snorkel or take land excursions during your trip. The Adventurer features a partially covered sun deck with chaise lounges, complete wet bar, an assortment of sitting areas with tables and a large swim platform with warm freshwater showers. The Adventurer Boutique offers essential dive equipment such as signal tubes, whistles and flashlights, as well as logo t-shirts, caps and other souvenirs.
Our spacious dive deck allows you to gear up in comfort. A roomy three-tier camera table is available for photographers along with a charging station. All divers have their own storage area for dive equipment and there are fresh, hot water showers on the back platform.
Most dives are done from two zodiac tender boats with a short ride to dives sites. Our dive team will ensure you get the best from every dive; charters include five dives a day (including night) although personal preferences or logistical concerns may change this on a day to day basis.
The Adventurer offers a full range of Programs; popular specialties such as Nitrox, Underwater Photography & Naturalist can be easily completed around the dive schedule.
Nitrox is available on all charters.
Technical diving and Rebreather diving is possible if pre-arranged.

Our Tubbataha seasons runs from mid-March through early June – explore kilometers in this pristine protected UNESCO World Heritage site located 100 miles offshore and open to diving only 3 months out of the year.
Dumaguete is our base for the months of June through December and our Visayas Safari is a unique opportunity to take in multiple beautiful islands in one week – something that would take several weeks to do any other way. We also offer special Malapascua “Thresher Shark Trip” from our Dumaguete resort.
“One Week on Land and One Week on Water”
I spent an amazing two weeks on the Atlantis properties. The first week we lodged at the resort in Dumaguete and the second week aboard the Adventurer.
The Atlantis in Dumaguete has everything you need in a dive resort. When we arrive in Manila, the Atlantis staff greeted us in the international terminal and helped transfer us to the domestic terminal to Dumaguete. The staff was also waiting to collect us in Dumaguete and transferred us to the resort.
My room in Dumaguete was spacious, had 24/7 hot water shower, TV with local and English channels, and mini-refrigerator. Outside the room, there were 2 chairs, table and drying rack. The restaurant, which is situated on the beach, had tasty menu and fine selection of drinks.
The diving is great in Dumaguete is great especially if macro photography or video is your thing. The dive masters are very friendly and knowledgeable. The Atlantis has several boats to take divers to various sites. The dive shop is quite organized, upon arrival, you are assigned a large bin for to store your dive gear and hang your gear.
Across from the dive shop, there is a large air-conditioned dry photo room. The room has plenty of room to charge your gear, air guns to help clean your photo gear, and TV to display you images and video.
The spa on the resort was quite affordable and service was great for a post dive massage.
Aboard the Adventurer, the same level of service was delivered. The boat was very spacious with lots of areas to relax. The rooms were good for a liveaboard. The food varied and was tasty. Dive masters were quite friendly and helpful. There was ample space to charge photo and video gear plus an area to soak equipment in fresh water and air guns to help move sediments.
We did the Bohol tour, which was good. However, I was told the best tour is the seasonal Tubbbataha tour… just gives me another reason to return.
During the 2 weeks, I executed 44 enjoyable dives and would more than happily return to any Atlantis property.
