Atlantis Young Dive Ambassador Program
What are we doing?
We are taking youngsters from local schools and teaching them to dive. But it doesn’t end there. Our Atlantis Young Dive Ambassadors will then dive with our guests, work on our coral trees project, present marine life presentations and be a part of our team in their spare time. They will also share their experiences, progress and adventures with their own and other schools as well the local and regional governments. In year two our Ambassadors go on and take Advanced training and then Rescue training in year three. Supported by our instructional team and SSI they will grow in skill level and experience and by the end of their program have the opportunity to enroll in professional level training.
Beyond their diving experiences, we hope to extend the program to support them at school by way of scholarships for tuition, travel and educational materials.
Why are we doing it?
We share a passion for the underwater world and creating experiences that go above and beyond a regular ‘vacation’. That extends to developing our own team providing careers and opportunities, and now to our local communities.
Our Ambassadors will be able to share their experiences with their friends, families and communities. They will become advocates for the underwater world in every way. The program will provide much needed financial support and possible career opportunities never even considered before – maybe becoming a marine biologist, or your guide on a future stay.
Our instructional team provides free training, our team of guides will build their underwater confidence and knowledge making them an integral part of what we do.
